Today, fraud in buying new or fairly used phones not from the actual shop company store has become norms, which it has been happening for a very long time.
And the reason for this write-up is to warn and also make people aware of this fraud that many people have fallen for it unknowingly.
1. EASYBUY
Easybuy: is a new method of owning a new phone on credit plus interest in it. meaning; you have to pay 30% of the amount of the phone, and you will have to go with four friends or relatives as witnesses to confirm, and you will have to pay in installments until you finish paying.
Note: and there rules is, they'll plant one “security plugins” inside the phone, which will be like a collateral between you and them. This “Easy buy” security plugins function is to lockup the phone or stop it from working completely or even sending messages to the contacts of your phone that you collect something on credit but you refused to pay.
2. PALMPAY
Palmpay: is also a security plugin like an Easy Buy, but they're somehow different.
Palmpay is a small bank that users can deposit and withdraw money and pay for electricity, water, phone, etc. They also give loans which if they give you a "SECURITY PLUGIN" similar to EASYBUY, if you don't pay, they will also do the same as I described above.
But how are people get scamming through this method as I mention earlier in this article???
~ Now Fraudsters are collecting one of the EASYBUY or PALMPAY Debts, if they buy the phone or the debt they have "SECURITY PLUGIN" installed in it, then they did not get the debt or buy the phone to pay but only because they want to scam innocent people by selling them the phone so that they don't have to pay the debts, it is bought the phone from them will be affected. Be careful.
How Do I Know that My Phone Has This Security Plugin?
By entering the phone's SECURITY & LOCATION, scroll down and you'll see an option name DEVICE ADMIN APP, it's their that you'll see an option with name SECURITY PLUGIN( see below for a screenshot of the SECURITY PLUGIN to protect yourself from fallen into those fraudsters hand)
That is all for now and don't forget to share and comment.
