Fast storage consumption not to be blame, here are two to consider on your device

Some android users are out of knowing on how their phone storage is moving down without any reason, we can't say there is no reason for this. Phone storage is the most specification people go for today.

Even the phone manufacturers vary their prices even if the phones are of the same model, it is because one is better than the other in terms of the storage capacity. Some models come with different storage, ranges from 16GB up to 256GB, just from the storage capacity you can finalize that the one with higher storage must be more than one with lower storage in price.

We normally encounter storage issues in our mobile phones without diving into the main cause of these issues. This issues might be storage is full, insufficient storage or any other issues related to storage.

Android phones differ from our old school phones of 90's why ?, it is because android phones has some high functionalities, even the Operating system is something difficult to understand on how exactly it works if you are not in tech. These phones comes with some of their inbuilt applications which we normally called them as system apps, here what most people don't know is that, these system apps occupy some part of your storage, if the phone comes with 16GB of ROM then the system apps may occupy 4GB out of this 16GB, remaining 12GB which you can use this for storing your own files or installing third party apps.

At times things becomes weird, when we experience something like storage issues, even when we are not up to the half of the storage, these issues are not something to worry much about because they can be solve without any stress.

Storage issues also arises due to the chunks of some unwanted files, these files are normally hidden, which mean you can't find them unless you turn show hidden files in your file explorer, also there are some third party apps when you are working with often, they accumulate or consume much from your storage, these apps are mostly Chrome, Whatsapp, Firefox Youtube and many more.

In this post, we are here purposely to address those issues and how to solve them.

Warning : Do it at your own risk.

Biggest culprits, your Browsers

Most browsers normally consume more storage when you use them often, this is because whenever you bookmark a page, save page for offline and too much browser history all these result using more of your storage, because these files are not saved in your downloads folder rather they are saved in your Android folder, this make the browser to consume more storage. To get rid of this, follow this steps.

Long press the browser icon, this will show options which are "uninstall", " "app info", then select app info, this option shows all the app information of a particular app, select storage then select manage space, there you will find if browser consume much of your storage, if you found something like unimportant storage with size of 900mb or or above, then kindly click free up space, this will create some space in your storage, also if you wish to delete the whole browser data then click on Clear All Data, but note that this will erase all your browser history, accounts, bookmarks and saved settings, which you do at your own risk. After following this procedure I am sure that you will gain some extra space in your phone storage.

Innocent YouTube

YouTube have the same pattern with browsers when it comes to how your data is being stored. When you save too much offline videos in YouTube app this will also consume space from your storage, I think now it is time to get some free space by getting rid of your old stuffs. To do this, long press YouTube icon then select app info then click on storage then click on clear data, but for some phones there is no storage option that means right after selecting app info you found clear data option. After clearing up data, this will create some free space in your storage. But note that this will also remove your google account, your videos, so do it at your own risk.
