Apps not downloading from play store here is what to do


Google play store is an online apps and games store developed by Google. Using Google play store is the safest place to download apps and games for android users. Downloading apps from play store sometimes give us headache this is because of some unknown issues that prevent the apps from downloading.


The most common issues we are facing when trying to download an app from play store are download pending, app stuck on installation state and so on. When you have this kind of problem there is nothing to worry about because solving the issue is simple with the following fixes.


Clearing app cache/data: clearing app cache and data is one of the effective methods of solving play store download pending. When the play store app accumulate many data and cache then it start to lag or causing downloading issues. 


Solution: navigate to your phone settings and look for the app management option and click on it then look for Google play store, tap on it and select storage option then click on both clear data and clear cache.


Internet connection: bad internet connection can lead to this problem, when your connection is bad then this will make the download state to stuck on pending. Google play store needs a good internet connection to work properly failure on this can cause downloading issues. Using a VPN can also bring download pending; turning off the VPN connection can solve the problem. 


Solution: if you are in area with bad internet connection then move to the place with good internet connection, if using mobile data connection causes this problem then try Wi-Fi. Switching airplane mode and turning it off to reset the cellular network might solve the problem.


Insufficient storage: when your device run out of storage then this will lead to several issues and pending downloading is among those issues. Android apps require some space to work properly on your device, most especially system apps. 


Solution: some android phone does not notify you if your storage is low, instead to wait for this always check your phone storage to ensure that it is not full. Try to remove any unused files on your phone to get some space then try downloading the app again.


Google play store updates: Google play store use to update itself in a background without your knowing, sometimes these updates can cause some failure to make the play store app function improperly.


Solution: uninstalling the play store updates can solve this problem. This is one of the most effective methods to solve this problem if trying all the above steps and still the problem not solved then tries this method. In order to uninstall the updates then open your phone settings and select app management then look for Google play store click on it, click three dots from top right hand corner of your screen then tap on uninstall updates. After uninstalling the app updates this will revert the play store version to previous version.


Corrupt download manager: when your device download manager got problem then this will stop you from installing new apps on your device.


Solution: open your phone settings then enter app management, enable show system apps by clicking three dots on top right hand corner of your screen, scroll down and look for download manager, tap on it and click on storage option then clear both cache and data buttons.


If you tried all the above methods and still the problem persists then you can try factory resetting your device. But keep in mind that your data will be lost when you reset your device without data backup.
