Some common techniques can take off tolerance to your device lagging permanently - Sahal GSM expert

Performance is one of most important thing to consider when buying a new or second-hand phone. When we say performance, we refer to anything that makes the phone to function effectively with small or zero problems.

Every smartphone has performance and some are better than others, we can say it is because of their price differences.

Performance can also be considered as how fast your phone is moving without hanging or lagging. The major components that contribute to phone performance are RAM (Random Access Memory) and ROM (Read Only Memory).

Phone performance start to reduce over time due to some factors, these factors can be insufficient storage, small phone memory (RAM) and software issues.

Smart phones with good RAM and ROM have higher performance compare to ones with low memory and storage, this means a 6GB ram phone will be more faster than phone with 3GB of ram.

If you are experiencing lagging in your phone don't worry because you are in the right place. These post lists the factors that contribute to this problem and how to get rid problems?

Are there solutions to this?

Low phone storage : phone start to lag when you have low ne storage reach to 70℅ to 80% it will start to function slowly, because when there is low storage then this will make difficult to store some temporary files this is due to androids and iPhones has low space to store temporary files compare to PC (Personal Computer).

Solution: To avoid lagging due to phone storage it is time to reduce some unwanted stuffs and junk files. Navigate to file explorer and delete junks files by checking every folder and try to enable "show hidden files", because junk files are mostly available inside hidden folders. Try to delete any unnecessary file, this will create some free space on your phone.

Long app usage: when you frequently use your phone apps, these apps require some portion of your storage to accumulate some data and cache. All these contribute to low storage in prolong usage.

Solution: Delete cache of every app you use often by long pressing the app and select app info, in the next screen you will find some something like clear cache if not found then look for storage details option. You can clear the app data if not needed, but keep in mind that this will delete all the data associated with the application.

Background apps: accumulating too many apps in background can lead to lagging off your phone, this is because when you leave too much apps in recents, these apps are still in use of your memory making it less to handle multiple tasks.

Solution: Always keep your background clean with not more than four apps. Clean your app recents often to make your phone function smoothly.

There is an alternative for this by navigating to your phone settings and enter about phone then click build number up to three times, this will give an access to developer options, then go back to the main settings and look for developer options, for some phones you can find this option inside additional settings, inside the developer options scroll down and find option called background process limit, click it and select "At most 4 processes", this option will automatically limit your background apps to only 4 processes.

Old software version: when you have an outdated software version this will slow down your phone performance to great extent, it is important to always update your software to the latest version, this will solve any software related problems including device performance.

Solution: check your phone software version, if it is not up to date then it is time to get some updates. Navigate to your phone settings and look for "software update", click on it and wait for some time to finish. Note that this method requires some data connection.
