Common bug dominating smartphones OS pertaining apps compatibility

Nowadays our devices use to face so many problems some are related to software while some are related to hardware, and any of those can make a user to feel bad. Battery issues, charging problems, low storages, app crashing are among the most common problems but our post will consider about one of those problems that is "unfortunately app has been stopped".

There are so many apps having this kind of error which means it is not only limited to one particular app.

Unfortunately app has been stopped error is one of the problems that some android users are facing and it is annoying to get interrupted with this kind of error while using any app, because this forces the app to close even if one is doing something very important. Solving this kind of problem is simple by applying the provided solutions below.

Corrupt app

Corrupted apps are mostly with this kind of error because when app is installed from an unknown source or affected with virus then this can cause the app to stop unexpectedly or make the app to hang. Downloading apps from an unverified or unknown source is risky and one can end up downloading a virus or malware to his phone.

Solution: uninstall the app by long pressing the app icon and click on uninstall or head yo your phone settings and enter app management option then look for the app and uninstall it then use Google play store to download another one. If it is system app causing this error then try clearing the app cache and data by checking the next solution below.

Bad app storage

When the app storage is full of cache and too much data then this cause the app to lag and failed to respond, clearing storage of the app can solve this problem because this will reset the app data and fix any error causing the app to malfunction.

Solution: navigate to your phone settings scroll down and look for app management option click on it and then look for the specific app causing that error and tap on it then click on storage option then click on on both clear cache and clear data options, but keep in mind that clearing data will delete all the settings and accounts associated with the app, so consider using only clear cache option if you don't want to loose your data.

App incompatibility

Android apps are built based on what is called API (Application programming interface) levels, this determine the targeted android version and minimum android version that can support a particular app. When app is build to target android version seven to above then if you attempt to use the app on android with version five or below then it will likely cause an error similar to this. Another thing that falls to this category is using an outdated app, because using an outdated app can result this kind of problem which is normally due to bugs and unable to receive an update from the app developer.

Solution: do not use other sources to download apps always use play store to download your apps because when you try to search an app that is not compatible with your phone then it will not show up in the search result because google play store only show apps that is compatible with your android version. If you found the app causing this error not available in google play store then this means that it is not compatible with your device.

If all the above steps doesn't solve your problem try factory resetting your device. When your phone has any problem then factory resetting is the last option you should try because fixing some problems require small fixes not up to factory reset.

After resetting your device then try downloading the app causing this problem from google play store.
