Overheating is one of most common problem smartphones are facing,  there are so many factors that contribute to phone overheating. This post highlights on those factors and how to get rid of them.

Here are things to consider if your phone has overheating problem.


Using phone on power: Using phone while the device in charging can significantly contribute to overheating problem, this is because when device is charging the electrons are in motion inside the battery which will eventually lead to overheating the battery and the phone as well.


Solution: try as much as possible to not use your phone while charging, if you are in urgent to use it then you can unplug it from the power source and use it, this will significantly solve your overheating if it is related to this.


Prolong usage: when you spend long time using your device this will rise the temperature of your phone which in turns cause the device to overheat. It is best practice to always keep in track of your device temperature.


Solution: try to not use your device for long time, if it seems possible then always allow the device temperature to cool down then continue to use it.


Charging over night: the idea of leaving your phone over night to get full is sometimes problematic, because when the device get full this will still allow the transmission of electrons from power source to your device. Leaving your phone charging overnight is not only limited to overheating but also contribute to battery damage or swelling.


Solution: unplug your phone from power source before going to bed, or if you know how long your device use to get full then set an alarm for a specified hours.


Phone case: this is another factor that contribute to overheating because a phone need to get ventilation, this is preventing heat from your device to go out to the surrounding and block the surrounding air to get into your device.


Solution: although using phone case is a factor of safety and keeping your device from fast aging, but removing your phone case help to reduce overheating problem.


Power IC (integrated circuit): when your device power IC got damage then your device will start to overheat because IC is one of the major chips responsible for power regulation.


Solution: the solution to this to change your IC, go to any phone repair expert for IC replacement.


Wireless and GPS: Keeping your Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS always will contribute to overheating and more battery consumption.


Solution: always keep Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS (Device location) when not in use.


Bad charger: using bad charger contribute to overheating problem because some chargers have different power output which is different to your device input power.


Solution: always use the original charger to charge your device, if your own got spoil then look for alternative one with the same specifications.


Hardware replacement: constantly repairing your device or changing the device components make your phone loose its usability very quickly which in turns contribute to phone overheating.


Solution: if your device undergoes many hardware replacement then advisably go for new one, so to avoid repair charges and any other problem.
